God's People...Again
A
Pathway to Healing and Re-engaging in Ministry
By
Blake Coffee and Debbie Taylor Williams
"Our
longing for community is a hot topic. Programs, ideas, and
resources have flooded the Christian marketplace. One thing
is glaringly missing: an honest discussion of how Christians hurt
each other and what to do about it. Blake Coffee's book
fills the gap. His biblical wisdom and painful realism point the
way to knowing God better and reflecting Him more clearly in the
way we relate when we've been wounded. Vital reading! "
Dr.
Larry Crabb
Author
of Shattered Dreams and The Pressure's Off

Blake
Coffee and Debbie
Williams are uniquely
qualified to write this book, having counseled with thousands
of individuals in hundreds of churches around the world through
their respective ministries. They understand the feelings of betrayal
associated with being hurt by the church, and have found three
critical touchstones of healing through God's Word:
Reconciliation
Recommitment
Re-engaging
Though
everyone's journey to healing is unique, all real healing from
being hurt by God's own people will involve reconciliation
of relationships with others, recommitment in relationship to
God and re-engaging in ministry along-side God's people. Trusting
God's People Again is a healing journey through the true
stories and lessons of scripture and the fictional story of Mavis,
an average church member who innocently agrees to take on an assignment
in her church and ends up being the subject of a slander campaign
and a volatile church split.
If
you have been hurt by the church, this healing journey is for
you.

Introduction
by Blake Coffee Forward
by Debbie Taylor Williams
"The
Father has uniquely prepared Blake Coffee and Debbie Williams
to minister to wounded saints. Thankfully they have not wasted
what God has taught them, but rather have joined in a writing
project that can be a healing balm to the wounded. They have truly
used the comfort received to comfort others. I wish I had been
armed by these insights as a young minister attempting to lead
a congregation of wounded saints! "

"For
11 years it has been my privilege to admire Blake Coffee, to observe
first-hand his God-given abilities to help people in conflict
and after conflict. The ideas that fill this book have been taught
in our congregation with powerful, positive results. Debbie Williams'
fictional story adds a new and compelling impact. As a pastor,
I've seen the benefits for people who encounter the wisdom of
God through this excellent book. I think you will, too."

One Body: Experiencing
Unity in the Church
By Blake Coffee
Originally the title
of the Unity Conference by Blake Coffee for the local church,
both the video seminar and the book are now available. This material
addresses Biblical interpersonal relationships as the very fabric
of unity in the church. It is a study designed to create an environment
for God to reveal Himself and His desire for unity, as the Body
grows to attain "the whole measure of the fullness of Christ."
It is published by the Texas Baptist Leadership Center.
